NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO COMMENT ON FEMA’S COSTLY PLAN TO STYMIE DEVELOPMENT NEAR
WATERWAYS. COMMENT DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 6
FEMA is proposing strict new rules for development in floodplains that affect 31 of Oregon’s 36 counties.
The stated goal is to protect fish during floods, but it means people, property, and communities will foot the
bill for fish-injury mitigation requirements.
If you, or someone you know lives NEAR WATER of any kind, this could affect you!
