Tillamook Board of Realtors has received a $5,000 grant from the National Association of REALTORS and has partnered with the Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay to bring you beautiful, practical and vital "Go Bags" for emergency preparedness. EVCNB started over 15 years ago in Manzanita, and has been recognized as a national leader in community preparedness. These bags have been thoughtfully filled with life-saving supplies and are available at a reasonable price. Buy one for your car, your closet, or your closest friend, and fill the balance with your personal items. Then relax and enjoy the feeling that you have taken steps to prepare for the unexpected.
VOTE NO on COUNTY MEASURE 29 -183
Mail-In Ballots must be postmarked by May 20th. Please remember to vote, and consider VOTING NO on the (outrageous) 40% increase in the Transient Lodging Tax on Short-Term Rentals/Hotels in Tillamook County. TLT revenue will increase from 10% to 14%. A 40% tax increase (?!) on already struggling businesses in our County. If the increase passes, the breakdown is below. The percentage for vital Sheriff services and Public Safety is nominal.
